Natalie de Segonzac is a New York City artist whose practice incorporates photography, video and sculpture. Using photography as her main medium, her multi-disciplinary approach to making an image has focused on the expansiveness of the mind within the confines of the body. This investigation became more literal after de Segonzac became disabled in 2016. Her performative self-portraits confront the notion of a what it can look and feel like to exist in a world often not built with a disabled body in mind. In 2023 she had her first solo exhibition, EVIDENCE, at ArtYard in Frenchtown, NJ. EVIDENCE explored the narrative of a changing body. She received her BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. Currently, she is an A.I.R. Gallery Fellow in Brooklyn, NY which will culminate with a solo exhibition in the spring of 2026.
