Natalie de Segonzac is a New York City artist whose practice incorporates photography, video and sculpture. Using photography as her main medium, her multi-disciplinary approach to making an image has focused on the expansiveness of the mind within the confines of the body. This investigation became more literal after de Segonzac became a wheelchair user. Her performative self-portraits confront the notion of a what it can look and feel like to exist in a world often not built with a disabled body in mind. In 2023 she had her first solo exhibition, EVIDENCE, at ArtYard in Frenchtown, NJ. EVIDENCE explored the narrative of a changing body. She received her BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. Currently, she is an A.I.R. Gallery Fellow in Brooklyn, NY which will culminate with a solo exhibition in the spring of 2026.
